Write and send a quote

Line by line, with what's included, what isn't, what you're assuming and what it depends on.

  1. Step 1: Open the quote for your job.

  2. Step 2: At the top, type the Name of the quote.

  3. Step 3: In the card Line 1, type the Work (for example "Groundworks") and the price.

  4. Step 4: In the same card, fill in the four lists, one item per line: What's included, Not included, We're assuming and This depends on.

  5. Step 5: Press + Add a line below the cards for the next piece of work. Repeat until the quote is complete.

  6. Step 6: Optional: in the card Is everything clear?, press Check my scope with Claude. Tap any suggestion you want to add.

  7. Step 7: Check the total at the bottom, then press Send to and your client's name. Or press Save as a draft to finish later.

What happens next

The quote is locked once sent. Your client ticks each line, asks questions and agrees it. The job page shows how many lines they've ticked. To change it later, press Change the quote (new version) in the card Quote and scope on the job page.

Good to know

  • "Not included" is the list that prevents most arguments. Put anything a client might assume is in the price.
  • Your own costs are private. Your client never sees them.
